Once just a phrase used by spiritual types, advancements in Quantum Physics have helped to shift public awareness around the energetic interconnectedness of all things. What Is Vibration?
Before we dive into how to increase your vibration and how it changes your life, let’s talk about what it means. In metaphysical terms, vibrations are the energetic pulses that make up our reality. Everything has its own unique frequency or vibration — from rocks to plants and animals, even thoughts and feelings have their own vibrational patterns. Take some time out of each day for yourself to practice meditation so that you can clear your mind and connect with your highest self. It doesn’t need to be long, a 3 minute meditation can work wonders. Start out with guided meditations. There’s many excellent guided meditations on YouTube or a free app called InsightTimer.
- Practice Gratitude – Gratitude is one of the most powerful tools when it comes to manifesting the life you want. Take some time each day to think about all that you have to be grateful for — no matter how big or small — as this will help raise your vibration so that you can attract even more positivity into your life.
- Connect With Nature – Nature has its own energy frequency, so spending time outdoors is an excellent way to raise your vibration as well as reconnect with yourself on a deeper level. Whether it’s taking a walk through the park or sitting outside in the sun, being around nature will help bring balance back into your life so that you can move forward with clarity and purpose.
- Eat Healthy Foods – Eating healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains will help raise your vibration by providing essential nutrients for optimal health as well as creating an uplifting mood throughout the day. Basically if it grows in the light – it is food of The Light…which is a good thing.
- Energy Healing – a session with a qualified energy therapist (*cough* ME! *cough*) can kick start your journey. Therapists are able to channel a high frequency energy into your energetic field as you relax. These sessions are great as a reset or a boost to your vibration.
What Happens When You Increase Your Vibration?
Raising your vibration can have a profound effect on every area of your life. Anything of a lower vibrational level will naturally fall away, creating room for the new higher vibrational elements to flow to you. Although change can be difficult, it’s a beautiful confirmation that you are moving towards a life more suited to your vibration. As you shift, you may experience:
- A change in the food, music, people that nourish your life
- Better relationships with those around you
- Electrical items playing up – typically a sign of enormous energetic shifts, but this does settle.
- A desire to isolate yourself for a few days or weeks
- Feeling more energized or emotionally sensitive throughout the day
- Greater enthusiasm in taking on new challenges, and being able to handle difficult situations with grace
- More productivity in work or school with better mental clarity
One area many people struggle with on this path of vibrational improvement is that as they change, it may initially trigger other people in their life. Sadly, the act of undertaking some self-improvement can be a trigger for your friends and family as they won’t understand your journey. Try not to take it personally, take a step back and try to be the observer of any moment which may seem challenging. Remember: We each have our own journey to take. Often there’s only one or two in each family or social group that initiate this process so it can feel a little isolating at first. The situation may feel like a bucket of crabs – that is, when one crab tries to get out, the others pull him back in. But honour your journey and trust that your body knows what is right for you.
With a higher frequency comes greater clarity which allows you to make decisions from a place of wisdom rather than fear. As you develop greater awareness, you’ll be able to discern what situations drain you and what lights up your soul. By following the nudges that light you up – you make better choices for yourself and life responds in wonderful ways.
