Before you consider undertaking any Reiki course, make sure you have had at least one (preferrably 2) Reiki healing sessions with a qualified practitioner to help activate your body in preparation and for Level 1 it’s important to understand what it is like to receive reiki if you have never had it before.

I also recommend potential students visit/speak with a number of Reiki Teachers to find the one that is right for them.

It’s as much about you interviewing them, as it is about them getting to know you.  Book in for free chat online/phone to see if we are a good fit.

On the day before your course:

• Don’t drink alcohol or take recreational drugs
• Get a good nights sleep
• Eat nutritious but light food
• Drink plenty of water to ensure you are well hydrated

All Reiki teachers teach the core components of the original Usui Reiki method, but because it works well with other healing methods, there are now other types of Reiki such as Angel Reiki, Crystal Reiki, Shamanic Reiki, Tibetan Reiki, Celtic Reiki & Egyptian Reiki….and many more.

A good Reiki teacher will:

• will be happy to answer any questions and concerns you have prior
• be your on-going mentor for any questions long after the training is done. So you want to make sure you connect and get along with them.

You should also understand how they deliver training (and does that suit your learning style) and what materials/manuals (if any) are provided to you.

Not all teachers have prerequisites and some will teach multiple levels over a series of days.  I do not teach like that for two reasons:

1. In honour of my lineage and teachers ethics
2. My guides have shown me the damage at a cellular level that can be done by rushing the process

Reiki Level 1 prerequisite: One (ideally 2) healing sessions with a reiki practitioner in the last 3 months to prepare your body energetically. Last session should be within 1 month of class.

Reiki Level 2 prerequisite: Usui Reiki 1 at least 3 months prior with 15hrs of practice on family and friends*.  You should feel confident in giving reiki to others without relying on your notes.

Reiki Level 3 prerequisite: Reiki level 2 completed at least 12 months prior with regular treatment of others. Interview/discussion may also be required. Ideal to have 50hrs of in-person treatment experience but not necessary.*

*As a practitioner of over 15 years, in my experience the more hours of practice (on other people) you have prior to being attuned to the next level, the better channel you will be.

As a teacher of healers, I take my responsibility seriously and it’s my goal to pass on any and all additional information I have learnt to make sure you aren’t just another Reiki Practitioner – but that you are a great Reiki Healer.

In addition to theory, you’ll be shown exactly how and what I do in healing sessions and I share additional tips based on my lived experience.  This will give you a well rounded place to start from, or incorporate into your existing methods.

Where practical, you’ll also have access to group practice days – where students come together and practice on each other.  My graduates also are invited to join a student WhatsApp group where they can arrange swaps and receive additional support.

I am qualified to teach Reiki Levels 1, 2 and 3 (3a Master & 3b Teacher) in both the traditional Usui style and the Tibetan/Sanskrit style, and if we are a good fit, I look forward to helping you discover your own abilities.

Learning Reiki is a deeply healing experience. 

After completing a Reiki course, your psychic abilities will improve and you’ll learn how to heal yourself and others. You may find in the weeks after class, you experience mild flu-like symptoms as your body releases toxins and stored emotions that have been holding you back.

You’ll also come to find a new sense of wellbeing and peace within yourself.  As you begin to treat others, you’ll be able to witness the joy your clients feel when you are able to help restore their mental, spiritual and physical wellbeing.

Make no mistake – Reiki is a subtle but powerful energy that can literally change lives if the recipient is open to it.

At the end of your first Reiki course you’ll be able to treat yourself, family and friends.  Self treatments are a critical component of learning Reiki and will help maintain your energetic wellbeing between treatments from others.

After completing Level 2 you are able to open a business as a Reiki Practitioner and receive payment for your healing services.  My Certificates of Completion are recognised by the IICT so that you can get the right level of insurance as a small business owner.

Classes are informative and fun 4hrs with a mix of theory, meditation and practical exercises. 

To ensure your training is recognised by the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT), I teach Reiki live online (ie live webinars/zoom classes). Classes are not pre-recorded, and the live sessions are not recorded either. 

Why is that important?

• Many students wish to one day open their own small businesses, requiring insurance, which IICT offers.
• IICT does NOT recognise Reiki training from pre-recorded self-paced online courses.  Only live online courses.  

Online class format

Classes are delivered over zoom. To successfully complete each level of Usui Reiki, you’ll need to attend:

• two 4 hour group sessions, covering:
  • theory, techniques, symbols, and 
  • receive attunement/activation to channel Reiki
• private 1-2hr online  class where you arrange for a friend/family member to be your practice buddy (can be performed seated or lying down)
• Note: Sankrit Reiki is an additional one or two 4hr sessions depending on previous experience.

In-person (group) classes are typically two day workshops. A single course can be 8-12hrs of learning so this is broken down into 2 seperate days.  My certificates of training are recognised by IICT which will enable you to obtain relevant insurances should you choose to charge money/have a business one day.

They are informative and fun days. A mix of theory, meditation and practical exercises. 

Depending on class size, you’ll get to practice your new reiki skills on fellow students or myself.

Classes typically start at 10am, with a lunch break around 1pm.  Snacks are provided.

I keep classes small – no more than 4 people so that there’s plenty of time for questions and no one gets left behind.

I also offer private classes for an additional fee.
