The new millennium provided me with prophetic dreams and a trip back in time. They were the two biggest events that made me realise I may have some psychic skills.
So 1999 clicked over to 2000 without drama – none of the computer and system meltdowns happened that people were freaking out about at the time. Oh how we laugh about it now. But there was real concern at the time.
My ‘spirit dude‘ would still show up every now and then if I wanted him to…and sometimes when I didn’t want him to. He was like an annoying brother sometimes. But little did I know that my life was starting to get more interesting.
The prophetic dreams
I started to have random dreams, of every day happenings. But they were somehow different to my normal dreams. For a start I couldn’t control them. They were just flashes that lasted only 2 – 5 seconds. And when I woke up I was left with a memory of an everyday event. Examples included:
- sitting at a computer with 2 screens
- digging dirt in someone’s backyard
- talking with someone
- viewing budget information on a computer screen
It was just random stuff that didn’t make any sense at the time. I didn’t pay it any attention and totally forgot about them.
The first dream that made me take notice took place around 2001. I experienced a dream in which someone close to me told me something I wasn’t meant to know about a friend. The next morning I called my friend to ask if it was true. It was. My friend asked how I had found out, to which I replied someone told me in a dream the previous night.
Although I was devastated by the news I was also shocked by the way in which I’d found out. The voice had been so clear in my dream – it was as if they were in the room talking to me.
That situation was my first amazing experience. Weirdly the autowriting and invisible dude interactions of the 1990’s weren’t a big deal for me. But this dream message was. It was the first psychic event that made me realise I might have some special abilities.
As the years played out after the new millennium, I discovered those ‘everyday dreams’ were prophetic also. Bit by bit I would find myself experiencing deja vu with everyday events. Clearly my life was so exciting that my guides felt the need for me to see my budget discussion years before it happened. LOL.
My thoughts on prophetic dreams
If you’re experiencing prophetic dreams and you aren’t sure what they mean. I have come to think of them as signs that I’m on the right track or have reached a particular milestone/marker in life. A bit like planning out a long car trip on a map knowing you need to pass through certain towns on the way to your goal.
For me – I’ve found that normally they take 3 – 8 years to actualise in my reality from the time I had the dream. Although I have friends who find it comes about within week or months of their dream. Maybe I’m a slow traveller haha.
I’ve also learnt how to differentiate them from non-prophetic dreams I have. The prophetic dreams:
- are more real – the images are crisp
- it’s from my point of view
- I have no control over them
- are a quick flash of a matter of seconds
In normal dreams I have a bit more control, I can replay events or slow it down, I’m often able to look at myself having the experience, and there’s a certain flexibility to the visuals.
How much notice do you take of your dreams?
