Have you ever wanted to grow wings? Maybe experience life as an angel?
This day was like any other. I worked in Brisbane city and during my lunch break I went for a walk in search of food. Suddenly I felt an enormous sense of joy and lightness of being. As I walked, I felt wings grow out of my back and I became aware that I desperately wanted to fly off and have fun flying around in the air. My heart yearned to whizz through the crowds! The feeling was so strong that I could feel myself lifting off the ground. Or at least that’s what it felt like. I was barely hanging on to the ground by my toes!
I checked to see if other people were looking at me, but they weren’t. Thank God!
I giggled to myself as only a couple of weeks earlier my Guides had told me that ‘the wings are real‘. And now here I was growing wings from my shoulder blades…again.
That was many years ago.
Now, I’m in Sydney with my own energy healing business and the sensation of sprouting wings is something I’m quite used to.
It has changed over time however. Or maybe I’ve just learnt to discern the differences in the type of energy that comes through.
In the early days the wings would come through with an immense joyous feeling. Now they come through in a couple of different ways.
- Large feathery wings come through with a feeling of powerful compassion, like a warm hug from your no-nonsense granny.
- Transparent wings like that of a dragonfly, come through with a gentle caring nature that is child-like and skittish.
The feathery wings sprout when ever I call in the angelic realm to help heal my client or when I ask them for protection. And the other finer wings seem to come through for clients who have a elemental/fairy connection in some way.
I’m not sure if it’s an aspect of my multi-dimensional self that activates when I call in a particular energy. Or a way for the angels and elementals to let me know they are with me. But what I do know, is that it’s a wonderful experience either way.
Wings have always held a special place in my heart. As a child I used to visualise myself turning into a Pegasus or a Griffin and found the gargoyle statues on old building fascinating. Shape-shifting has always made sense to me, so it’s an honour to be able to experience the sensation of growing wings whilst in human form.
